For dinner in the main dining room, you must sign up for either Your Time dining (you go whenever you want) or Traditional Dining (you have a fixed table and time for dinner). Design-wise, Carnival's cabins and suites are fairly basic and comfortable, if not super stylish. Cabins on recently unveiled or overhauled vessels have a soothing palette of creams and blues.

The Carnival Cruise Line fleet

Carnival ships also have lively bar nightlife, especially on ships with a RedFrog Pub; there's also an always-busy casino. Carnival cruises are casual, with shorts, tee shirts, capris, swimsuits or swim cover-ups de rigueur during the day (no bathing suites in the dining venues, however). Most nights, the dress code on a Carnival Cruises remains much the same, minus the swimwear, though technically the cruise line asks that people not wear shorts into the main dining room.

However, I often consider more than the total cost before booking a cruise. I look at the ports of call, the space-to-guest ratio, the amenities and onboard activities, and the launch point. Cruise Critic is not a booking agent and does not charge any service fees to users of our site.

Initially built in 2019 for Costa Cruises, this ship joined the Carnival fleet in 2023. Carnival Venezia is ideal if you’re looking for a ship that celebrates one of Italy’s most iconic cities. Venice is the inspiration behind the indoor and outdoor areas, including the atrium, modeled after Piazza San Marco, and the Carnevale Lounge, inspired by Venetian masquerades. Don't miss the Venetian Toast, where the ship’s captain greets guests and crew don Venetian masks. If you're sure Carnival is your line, look for a travel agent who specializes in trips with the brand.

Note that you'll be charged a $15 corkage fee if you want to bring the wine or Champagne to an onboard restaurant or bar to drink. Drinks brought on board must be carried in your carry-on luggage. Carnival allows you to bring one bottle of wine or Champagne per person onto ships at boarding plus up to a dozen standard cans or cartons of nonalcoholic drinks such as sodas. The social and value plans cost $18 and $23 per day, respectively, when bought onboard a ship. A few other forms of identification, such as a passport card, also are acceptable.

The ultimate guide to Carnival Cruise Line ships and itineraries

The quality of the food (and drink) on Carnival ships always surprises us, given the budget pricing of the brand. Despite being one of the industry's lowest-cost operators, Carnival manages to pull off one of the best steakhouses at sea in Fahrenheit 555, and even the no-extra-charge main restaurants get the basics right. Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse Brewhouse, notably, has its very own in-house brewery you can see behind glass walls — something still relatively rare on cruise ships. It makes house beers including Parched Pig West Coast IPA and Parched Pig Toasted Amber which you'll find on many Carnival vessels in kegs and cans. Other extra-charge eateries often found on Carnival vessels include Bonsai, an a la carte sushi restaurant (now on 14 ships), and JiJi Asian Kitchen, which costs $24 per person (now on four ships).

In 1993, Carnival began to get rid of their older second-hand tonnage, and sold their first ship, Mardi Gras, after 21 years of service with the line. The Carnivale followed the same year, going to newly created Carnival subsidiary Fiesta Marina Cruises. For any cruises listed, Cruise Critic does not guarantee any specific rates or prices.

Onboard Celebrations

Carnival Radiance has culinary delights and family fun in spades. If you're a foodie, try Guy’s Burger Joint for loaded burgers straight from Flavortown or Shaq’s Big Chicken for the basketball star's incredible fried chicken sandwiches. Kids will love seeing The Cat in the Hat characters during activities like character parades, story time, and character breakfasts.

www.carnival cruise line

Most of these six ships (all but Carnival Venezia) have an a la carte barbecue-and-beer joint called Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse Brewhouse, too. BlueIguana is a Chipotle-style restaurant, with yummy made-to-order burritos and tacos. Created in partnership with Food Network's Guy Fieri, Guy's Burger Joint offers burgers that beat anything you'll find around the pool on other mass-market ships and even most luxury vessels. Note that Carnival's two oldest ships — those that are part of the 1990s-built Fantasy Class — have relatively few balcony cabins by today's standards. (After retrofitting, several have around 150 balcony cabins, out of a total of more than 1,000 cabins in all.) In part because of this, Carnival has been phasing these ships out of its fleet in recent years. Seven of the line's 25 vessels measure less than 100,000 tons, which makes them almost midsize by today's cruise ship standards.

www.carnival cruise line

Most Carnival ships have self-serve launderettes on cabin decks with washing machines, dryers, irons and ironing boards. The launderettes also have vending machines that dispense small boxes of detergent and water softener at $1.50 per box. On the vast majority of Carnival ships, there's not just a single waterslide but a whole water park area. Dubbed WaterWorks, these areas vary in size and features from vessel to vessel.

The line has formal children's programming and activities for children as young as 2 years old through the age of 17. Every Carnival ship has a casino, usually smack in the middle of the main entertainment deck. The latter venue was created in partnership with Food Network's Guy Fieri and serves a free lunch on embarkation and sea days, with all items smoked on board.

In addition, while aggregator websites will almost always have the same prices you’ll find everywhere else, they often offer perks you won’t find on the cruise lines websites. Cruise line websites only have cruises from that line, so you are limiting your options of prices, ships, dates, and itineraries. In other words, these sites are more akin to having your own travel agent to help you with the booking process compared to only a website. With a focus on cruising, they are able to better serve cruise passengers — including having staff that you can call directly to help you book. However, if there is a reason where you need to change your booking or get a refund, then it could be a little more complicated than booking directly through the cruise line. That means you’re going to find the same prices across these sites, along with similar search functions.

AT meaning

at&t cruise ship plan

On web pages, organizations often obscure the email addresses of their members or employees by omitting the @. This practice, known as address munging, makes the email addresses less vulnerable to spam programs that scan the internet for them. No part of this site may be reproduced without our written permission. One of the spots to begin your hike is Zlatnite Mostove (meaning "Golden Bridges"). It’s an extraordinary geological phenomenon that looks like a stone river running down a slope from around 1700m to 1350m. Nature lovers may also enjoy trekking to the 25m-high Boyana waterfall that lures with its crystal-clear waters.

What Is An At Sign ( @ ) And How Do You Use it?

The @ shape has been noted in documents dated as early as the 14th century. But, because its meaning in those documents bears no evident connection to the sign’s later commercial use, the similarity in form of the a-based symbol may simply be coincidental. Although not included on the keyboard of the earliest commercially successful typewriters, it was on at least one 1889 model[6] and the very successful Underwood models from the "Underwood No. 5" in 1900 onward. It started to be used in email addresses in the 1970s, and is now routinely included on most types of computer keyboards. These examples are programmatically compiled from various online sources to illustrate current usage of the word 'at.' Any opinions expressed in the examples do not represent those of Merriam-Webster or its editors. Articles Related to at

With the dawn of the World Wide Web in the 1990s, the general public rapidly discovered uses for the sign apart from email addresses. In interacting with groups of people in online message boards, chat rooms, and social media, Internet users found the at sign useful for clarifying “at” which users their messages were directed. Twitter, a microblogging platform that was launched in 2006, embraced the phenomenon and in 2007 began embedding hyperlinks to user profiles and collecting tweets directed at them on a dedicated page. Other social networks followed suit, introducing similar features, and the @ sign soon became a standard tool to facilitate online interactions. On many social platforms, using the at sign before a person’s username allows someone to “tag” another person when posting content.

Get to the heart of Bulgarian art by browsing the National Gallery Quadrat 500. This is where you can admire the country’s largest collection of medieval paintings as well as impressive examples of contemporary art. Another art venue worth popping into is the Sofia City Art Gallery, which hosts rotating exhibitions of Bulgarian paintings and sculpture.

Depending on the platform, doing this may cause that person to receive an alert or notification that they have been mentioned by another user. #friendship includes a tag to the user named PBandJames1234 in hopes that they will see the message or the message will direct others to that person’s social media account. In informal writing, such as texting or on social media, the at sign may be used to represent the word at and would be read aloud as such. For example, the sentence I won $100 @ the casino would be read as I won $100 at the casino. This usage would not be considered acceptable in formal writing and should be avoided.

Visitors can take home authentic pieces of the country’s spirit – everything from organic rose-oil cosmetics (Bulgaria is the world’s leading producer of rose oil) and Bulgarian raspberry wines to white cheese and spices. You’ll find a good selection of products at Rose of Bulgaria and Vino Orenda stores. The best place to stock up on fresh and cheap local foods is the Ladies’ Market (beware of pickpockets). You’ll simply need to pick a wireless plan, find a new device (or bring your own), gather a few pieces of information about your account, and we’ll get you up and running on the AT&T network. Thinking of your next shopping trip, you’re more likely to plan a weekend in Italy than in Bulgaria. While it’s true that Sofia is no big fashion capital, it has its fair share of small boutiques and designer clothing that come at more affordable prices than in western Europe.

However, it does have several common uses online and in informal writing. While that email doesn’t look especially reliable, it does offer an example of how the at sign is most commonly used. Although the at sign is most often used in email addresses, it does have a few other uses that you might come across, especially if you find yourself on social media. In fact, the very earliest records that contain @ or similar shapes did not use them to represent a preposition. The first known use of the symbol in its traditional commercial sense is in a 1536 Spanish-language letter from a Florentine merchant.

Cruises from Galveston Galveston Cruises

The ship includes a number of features not found outside of this class of vessel. One thing the port had yet to see, however, was a completely new ship homeporting from the island. Discover the best times to cruise from Galveston in 2024 with our month-by-month weather guide. Seafood is king on Galveston Island— Gulf shrimp, blue crabs, snapper and grouper come fresh off the boat. But the signature Tex-Mex cuisine equally impresses with sizzling fajitas and tequila-laced margaritas.

In other words, if you’ve sailed other Carnival ships than the Excel class, the vibe and atmosphere is still the same, but the experience will be something completely different. For one, the ship is part of Carnival’s Excel class, its largest series of ships with sister vessels like Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration. All told, the ship measures about 180,000 gross tons and carries roughly 5,300 passengers at double occupancy. Jubilee will join Carnival Breeze and Dream, meaning the cruise line will now have three ships sailing regularly from Galveston with plans to add more ships. Carnival Jubilee, however, marks something far different than those other ships.

Carnival Jubilee shows

Delve into the vibrant cultural tapestry of Galveston Island as you immerse yourself in its museums and local traditions. Carnival Dream, for example, will offer 6- and 8-night sailings with both Western Caribbean and Eastern Caribbean itineraries, giving guests a choice for their tropical getaway. Depending on the departure date and exact itinerary, destinations will include Belize, Roatan, Mexico, Key West, and the Bahamas. Three Carnival cruise ships will be homeported in Galveston for sailings in 2025 and 2026, offering a range of itineraries from 4-8 nights and visiting ports of call throughout Mexico and the Caribbean.

Each of these destinations provides a unique glimpse into the diverse and vibrant life of the Western Caribbean. Each weeklong cruise will schedule two formal nights — known as "elegant nights." If you're bound for the dining rooms, men are expected to turn up in dress slacks and a dress shirt, preferably with a sports coat or even a suit.

This meant it wasn't at capacity, but it still felt loud and crowded, and often was fraught with lines.

Carnival Breeze, Mini cruise to Progreso and Cozumel from Galveston, March 29, 2025

Carnival Jubilee has so many places to eat that I ran out of time to try them all on my weeklong sailing. As a sucker for soft-serve ice cream, I was a frequent visitor to the three soft-serve ice cream and frozen yogurt machines on decks 8, 16 and 17. On Carnival Jubilee, the Lido Marketplace on Deck 16 is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, but I found it largely uninspired and lacking in variety. The French toast I had for breakfast and the mahi mahi I had for dinner were tasty, but there are definitely better no-charge venues on board. Oddly, there were some discrepancies on board that I was surprised to see on a ship that's been sailing for several months.

Carnival Jubilee zones

And if you need any clue that this ship was always aimed to make its home in the Texas market, look no closer than the enormous Texas star that adorns its bow.

Fascinating history, well-preserved 18th century architecture, gorgeous beaches and thrilling outdoor adventures. Experience all this and cruise out of Galveston with Travel Weekly’s Best Cruise Line Overall 19 years running. Two of the vessels to set sail from Galveston are both Dream class – Carnival Breeze and Carnival Dream – while the third is the cruise line’s newest ship, Carnival Jubilee, which will debut from Texas in December 2023. Smoking (including electronic cigarettes) is allowed but only in designated outdoor areas on Deck 8 mid-ship on the starboard side. Smoking is also allowed on the starboard side of the casino, but it's for cigarettes only.

All types of smoking are forbidden in cabins and on cabin balconies. If you're a U.S. citizen on a cruise that starts and ends in a U.S. port, you'll need a current passport or an official copy of your birth certificate and a driver's license or other government-issued photo identification to sail. A few other forms of identification, such as a passport card, also are acceptable.
